The Tuatara Reading Group performed a play for us on Tuesday. We all enjoyed seeing how well they got into character and thought their voices were lovely and clear.
After the play we discussed our next steps for performing plays such as; Facing the audience at all times Moving to the front of the 'stage' Being ready for you cue Keeping the iPad still and clear of fingers when recording

Following today's announcement to remain at level 2, we are still unable to have whānau in our learning spaces. Thank you so much for your support with this. We are very much looking forward to our homebase competition on Tuesday with a small audience for your child to present their poem to. Certificates will be given to 1st and 2nd place for each year group, as well as the runner ups. The finalists will perform their poems to the children in their year group on Thursday at 11:00. Year 3 children will be in the Kererū North 11/12 space and the Year 4 children will be in Kererū 13/14 space. We have independent judges from within the school judging the final. Please take time over the weekend to listen to your child recite their poem. Have a great weekend - hopefully some lovely spring weather to enjoy! Kererū teachers We have decided to postpone our bake sale this term due to the COVID-19 alert level being level 2 and we are yet to hear when alert levels will change. The new date for the bake sale is Term 4, week 3, Thursday 29 October.
To show our appreciation to everyone buying our bird feeders and helping us fundraise to sponsor a native bird the children of K11 and K12 made some marble paper to write thank you notes on and attach to each bird feeder. Very messy but a lot of fun! You also never knew what the pattern was going to look like. |
