Have a great day, Nicky, Louise, Kim and Nikki. Today we are providing the following opportunities for learning... Literacy Writing Write a recount about what you got up to over the weekend. Remember to include a great first sentence to capture the reader and who, what, when, why and how information. Use connection words like first, next, after, then to keep the flow of your writing going. If you want a challenge you can write the weekend as a narrative with yourself as the main character. If you do this remember to include lots of adjectives, speech between people and descriptions about your family and the setting. For example: Miss S jumped out of bed excited it was Saturday morning. It was pancake breakfast! She got out a large bowl and started mixing together some eggs, flour, milk and sugar to make the batter. Her stomach started to grumble. Reading Choose a non-fiction text to read today. Remember to use your epic account if you do not have many at home. Draw a picture showing what topic you chose to read about e.g animal, human body, solar system, dinosaurs etc Label your picture with at least 5 interesting facts that you learnt. Check out the new Read Along book “Pigs Might Fly”. Remember these can also be found on our blog on the Read Along page.
